The Senior Architect will oversee architectural works for large-scale residential and high-rise tower projects in the UAE, ensuring design intent is executed accurately during construction. This role requires a strong contracting background, deep knowledge of UAE building codes and authority requirements, and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.
Responsibilities include
- Project Execution: Lead and manage all architectural aspects of residential and high-rise construction projects, from design development through handover. Ensure design intent is fully implemented on-site, resolving conflicts between design and construction as they arise.
- Coordination & Stakeholder Management: Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Coordinate with structural, MEP, and other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of architectural elements.
- Technical Expertise: Review and validate shop drawings, material submittals, and mock-ups in line with project specifications and authority requirements. Provide solutions for design challenges and implement value engineering options where applicable.
- Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to UAE building codes, authority guidelines (Dubai Municipality, Trakhees, DDA, etc.), and international standards. Conduct site inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
- Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, design changes, and as-built records. Support project managers in preparing presentations, reports, and updates for clients and senior stakeholders.
Here's what you'll need
- Education: Bachelor's degree in architecture (Master's preferred).
- Experience: 810 years of architectural experience.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE building regulations, authority approvals, and high-rise construction methodologies.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and other relevant design tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and coordination abilities.
