Senior Architect - Interior Design

Key Responsibilities

1. Interior Design Leadership & Architectural Excellence

Lead the development of architectural and interior design concepts for hospitality, hotel, and mixed-use projects.

Produce and review concept designs, schematic layouts, detailed drawings, and design presentations.

Ensure architectural and interior designs align with brand standards, client expectations, and project objectives.

Integrate functionality, aesthetics, sustainability, and operational requirements into design solutions.

2. Hotel & Hospitality Interior Design

Demonstrate strong experience in hotel interiors, including guest rooms, lobbies, F&B outlets, public areas, spa, and back-of-house spaces.

Coordinate interior layouts, material selections, FF&E concepts, and finishes in line with luxury hospitality standards.

Work closely with interior designers, lighting consultants, and MEP teams to ensure cohesive and buildable interior solutions.

3. Client Interaction & Requirement Understanding

Act as a key point of contact for clients, attending meetings, presentations, and design reviews.

Confidently understand, interpret, and clarify client requirements, briefs, and expectations.

Present design concepts and technical solutions clearly and professionally, building trust and long-term client relationships.

Manage client feedback effectively and translate it into design revisions without compromising quality or project goals.

4. Project Management & Coordination

Manage the full architectural consultancy lifecycle from concept through design development, tender documentation, and construction stages.

Coordinate with multidisciplinary consultants (MEP, structural, landscape, interior, faade) to ensure integrated designs.

Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines, budgets, and scope.

Support value engineering exercises while maintaining design intent and quality.

5. Technical & Regulatory Compliance

Ensure all designs comply with UAE building codes, local authority regulations, fire and life safety requirements, and sustainability standards.

Review shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with design intent.

Ensure accuracy and quality of drawings, specifications, and BIM/Revit outputs.

6. Site Supervision & Construction Support

Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and ensure works are executed in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.

Provide architectural clarifications, resolve site issues, and respond to RFIs.

Participate in inspections, snagging, and handover processes.

7. Team Leadership & Mentorship

Guide and support junior architects and architectural staff.

Review team outputs and ensure consistency in quality and standards.

Foster a collaborative, professional, and performance-driven team environment.

Essential Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/ Interior Design
2. Minimum 8-12 years experience in UAE
3. Proven experience in hotel and hospitality projects, particularly hotel interiors.
4. Society of Engineers (SOE) card from Dubai
5. Dubai Municipality G+12 License in Architecture
