We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect for an international consultancy based in Dubai. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading architectural projects from Schematic Design (SD) through to Issued for Construction (IFC), while acting as a primary client-facing representative. This role requires strong design leadership, technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage teams and collaborate across disciplines on a wide range of international projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural projects across all design stages, from SD to IFC
- Act as a key client-facing contact, managing presentations, meetings, and ongoing coordination
- Lead and facilitate design workshops, client reviews, and stakeholder meetings
- Oversee architectural design quality, technical compliance, and alignment with project briefs
- Coordinate closely with internal multidisciplinary teams (structure, MEP, BIM, etc.) and external consultants
- Manage and mentor a team of architects and junior staff, ensuring timely delivery and quality outputs
- Review and approve drawings, reports, and presentation materials prior to issue
- Ensure compliance with local authority regulations, international standards, and best practices
- Support project planning, resourcing, and delivery in line with project schedules and budgets
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture
- Minimum 1015 years of professional experience, preferably within international consultancies
- Proven experience delivering projects from concept design through IFC
- Strong background in client engagement, presentations, and workshop facilitation
- Experience managing and leading architectural teams
- Exposure to a diverse range of project types (e.g., mixed-use, commercial, residential, hospitality or public projects)
- Solid understanding of regional (UAE/GCC) authority requirements is preferred
- Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite; BIM experience is an advantage)
