Job Title: Senior Architect Design Management
Location: Jeddah (with regular site visits to Makkah)

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect to join a leading PIF-owned property development company delivering landmark projects in Jeddah and Makkah. This is a senior design management role reporting directly to the Head of Design, responsible for overseeing architectural design delivery across major developments.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the full design lifecycle, from concept through to on-site technical execution, ensuring design quality, technical compliance, and alignment with project objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage architectural design processes from concept to detailed technical design and construction documentation
- Conduct thorough design reviews of consultant and architect drawings
- Review and evaluate tender design packages prior to issuance, and assess returned submissions for technical accuracy and compliance
- Oversee and manage external architectural and engineering consultants
- Provide technical leadership during construction, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings and specifications
- Carry out regular site visits in Makkah, monitoring work in progress and ensuring alignment with design intent
- Lead and mentor internal design team members
- Coordinate cross-functionally with project management, construction, and commercial teams
- Ensure design quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to project timelines
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 8 years experience in architecture, with significant exposure to major development projects
- Proven experience managing design from concept stage through to construction and site delivery
- Strong background in reviewing consultant drawings and technical documentation
- Experience in tender design review and evaluation
- Previous hands-on design experience earlier in career (prior to moving into design management)
- Demonstrated experience conducting site inspections and verifying construction against technical drawings
- Experience leading teams and managing external consultants
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to be based in Jeddah, with regular travel to project sites in Makkah
