Job Description

The Senior Architecture Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing the technical aspects of architectural projects, ensuring all designs and documentation meet regulatory standards and project requirements. This role provides technical leadership, coordinates with multidisciplinary teams, and supports the successful delivery of construction projects through meticulous review and quality control.

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare and review architectural shop drawings in accordance with project specifications and IFC drawings.
  • Review and verify structural concrete dimension shop drawings to ensure coordination with architectural elements.
  • Coordinate architectural works with all other trades (MEP, structural, etc.) to avoid clashes and ensure integration.
  • Review and validate sub-contractor shop drawings and material submittals for compliance with project specifications and other trade requirements.
  • Prepare and submit material submittals in line with the project specifications and consultant/client requirements.
  • Prepare quantity surveying (QS) documentation and purchasing orders based on approved shop drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare and maintain the E1 Log (submittals log) and follow up on actual submission status and approvals.
  • Prepare and maintain the E2 Log (procurement and material tracking log) and follow up on current status.
  • Prepare, review, and update architectural As-Built Drawings as per site conditions and client requirements.
  • Attend technical and coordination meetings with consultants, clients, and internal departments.
  • Follow up on all technical issues and ensure timely responses and resolutions with consultants and clients.
  • Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for any unclear or missing information in the contract documents.
  • Review and document differences between original contract drawings and revised/new drawings.
  • Identify and document sources of variations or technical discrepancies to support issuance of variation notices or claims to the client.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in architecture engineering or any relevant field
  • 6+years of relevant experience
  • Hands on experience in preparing shop drawings is a MUST
