Job Description

We are a global real estate developer with a presence in over 150 offices worldwide and a strong, established footprint across the Middle East. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Art Consultant / Art Consultant to join our team in Dubai, UAE, and lead the lighting design function across key projects in the region.

This role offers the opportunity to shape innovative art strategies, curate impactful public art programmes, and deliver creative placemaking initiatives across some of the region's most prestigious developments, including hospitality, mixed-use, cultural, residential, commercial, and public realm projects.

The successful candidate will combine strong curatorial expertise, artistic vision, stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of how art can enhance the user experience within the built environment.

Key Responsibilities

Art Strategy & Curation

  • Develop project-specific art visions, curatorial narratives, and art strategies.
  • Curate artwork collections aligned with project identity, culture, brand, and user experience objectives.
  • Identify and recommend local, regional, and international artists.
  • Create artwork concepts for public art, sculptures, installations, digital art, murals, and bespoke commissioned pieces.

Integrated Design Collaboration

  • Work closely with Architecture, Landscape, Interior Design, Branding, and Wayfinding teams.
  • Define artwork locations and integration opportunities across buildings, public spaces, and masterplans.
  • Support placemaking and experiential design initiatives through meaningful art interventions.

Artist & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage artist engagement, briefing, selection, and commissioning processes.
  • Coordinate with artists, fabricators, suppliers, contractors, and specialist consultants.
  • Present concepts and recommendations to clients and project stakeholders.

Project Delivery

  • Oversee artwork development from concept design through fabrication and installation.
  • Review technical submissions, materials, prototypes, and mock-ups.
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, procurement activities, and deliverables.
  • Prepare artwork schedules, specifications, reports, and presentation materials.

Business Development & Thought Leadership

  • Contribute to proposals, design competitions, and client presentations.
  • Stay informed on emerging artists, art trends, fabrication technologies, and industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and support the growth of the Art & Wayfinding practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 5–15+ years of experience in art consultancy, curation, public art, or cultural programming.
  • Proven track record of leading complex art programmes from concept through delivery.
  • Experience engaging with high-profile clients, artists, and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Strong project management and commercial awareness.
