Senior Associate – Litigation

Our client, a well-established local law firm in Doha, is seeking an experienced Senior Associate – Litigation to join its growing Litigation Department.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong disputes lawyer with 6–10 years PQE and significant contentious experience to take on a senior role, managing complex matters, working directly with clients and supervising junior lawyers.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing litigation matters independently and handling multiple matters simultaneously.
- Drafting pleadings, briefs, statements, legal correspondence, settlement agreements and other legal documents.
- Preparing legal advice, strategies and memoranda.
- Representing clients in meetings, proceedings and negotiations.
- Supervising, delegating work to and mentoring junior lawyers and support staff.
- Reviewing legal research and ensuring high-quality, commercially focused work product.
- Maintaining strong client relationships and supporting business development activities.
- Reporting to Partners and the Managing Partner on matters and team performance.
Candidate Requirements
- 6–10 years PQE within a law firm or legal practice.
- Accredited Law degree.
- Strong general litigation experience, including both pre-contentious and contentious matters.
- Demonstrable advocacy experience.
- Middle East experience is essential.
- GCC court experience is highly desirable.
- Native Arabic with a strong command of English.
- Demonstrable leadership and experience supervising junior lawyers.
- Strong organisational, communication and client-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Multinational team experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
