About the Role:
This is a full-time Senior Associate Lawyer role at Seed and Scale in Dubai. We're looking for an experienced startup lawyer with a startup/venture mindset someone who enjoys working directly with founders, can translate legal complexity into actionable advice, and can run matters with limited supervision.
You will:
- Report to the Partner/General Counsel,
- You will lead matters across a portfolio of startups planning workstreams, allocating tasks, supervising juniors,
- Draft and execute startup-related documents (SAFEs, convertible notes, SPA, founders agreements, ESOPs etc.),
- Advise founders on company structuring, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance,
- Draft fundraising documentation and commercial contracts,
- Communicate with partnered Corporate Service Providers, notaries and trusties.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Law from a recognized institution,
- 4-6 years of overall experience in corporate/commercial law (with a minimum of 3 years in venture capital or startup law),
- Experience with fintech / regulated businesses (payments, lending, virtual assets) would be a strong plus,
- Experience in managing small teams,
- Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
