As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will design, operate, and secure privileged access across IT and cloud infrastructures, leveraging Linux/Windows expertise and cybersecurity best practices. You will also automate and maintain robust security services, protect cloud assets with a strong focus on privileged access management, and collaborate across teams to address threats, enhance processes, and support stakeholders.
Your responsibilities:

- Support the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of Privileged Access Management services, with a strong focus on application secrets and non-human identities.
- Assist in the deployment and onboarding of applications to CyberArk Conjur or similar secrets management solutions.
- Support the integration of PAM and secrets management into DevOps pipelines, container platforms, and cloud environments (e.g. CI/CD, Kubernetes).
- Assist in building and implementing security solutions both on premises and in the cloud using SaaS, IaaS, and other technologies.
- Contribute to identifying and introducing AI based or data driven approaches where feasible to enhance operations, monitoring, and automation.
- Support automation tasks such as application onboarding, configuration, workflows, and reporting using scripting or configuration tools.
- Support the investigation of incidents related to privileged access and secrets management, assisting with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Monitor PAM platforms and privileged activities and escalate anomalies or issues when detected.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and vulnerability reviews related to privileged access and identity security.
- Provide operational support to internal customers consuming PAM and secrets management services.
- Work closely with security, DevOps, cloud, and application teams to integrate PAM controls into projects and daily operations.
- Assist in preparing reports on PAM status, risks, and improvements for management.
- Support the promotion of best practices for privileged access and secrets handling.
- Actively develop skills in PAM, CyberArk Conjur, cloud security, and DevSecOps practices.
Your profile:
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, cloud, DevOps, or a related technical role.
- Initial hands-on experience or strong theoretical knowledge of CyberArk Conjur or secrets management concepts.
- Familiarity with DevOps and cloud-native technologies, such as: Containers (Docker), Kubernetes or similar orchestration platforms, CI/CD pipelines and configuration-as-code concepts.
- Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, Python) to automate PAM and security operations.
- Ability to support and drive PAM integrations in Cloud and hybrid environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Understanding of identity security, least privilege principles, access controls, and audit requirements.
- Ability to work across teams, share knowledge, and contribute to common security objectives.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication in English, with the ability to explain complex technical topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under time pressure.
- High adaptability, continuous learning mindset, and interest in modern security automation and IAM/PAM technologies.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English – German knowledge of advantage
