Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bilingual Senior Associate specializing in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) to join our dynamic corporate practice. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record advising on complex M&A transactions, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, and private equity deals in the UAE and wider GCC region. This role will involve working closely with partners, leading client engagements, and mentoring junior associates while driving business development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage M&A transactions from inception to completion, including structuring, drafting, negotiation, and execution of deal documentation.
- Advise clients on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and due diligence processes.
- Liaise with government authorities and regulators to ensure smooth transaction approvals.
- Manage client relationships and act as a primary point of contact for high value corporate matters.
- Supervise, mentor, and review work of junior associates and trainees.
- Collaborate with partners to identify and pursue new business opportunities in the M&A space.
- Stay updated with relevant laws, regulations, and market trends impacting corporate transactions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB); master's degree (LLM) preferred.
- Must possess bilingual skills in Arabic and English with a preference for spoken Arabic proficiency.
- 7-10 years of post-qualification experience in M&A, preferably within a leading UAE or GCC law firm.
- Strong drafting, negotiation, and advisory skills.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE Companies Law, DIFC/ADGM regulations, and cross-border transaction structuring.
- Proven ability to manage multiple high-value transactions simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Strong leadership capabilities with experience supervising and mentoring legal teams.
