Your Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and optimizing the backend services that power our healthcare automation and AI platform.

Responsibilities:

System and API Design: Architect and implement scalable, secure backend services and REST APIs for our AI-powered healthcare workflows.

Backend Stack: Work with Node.js, TypeScript, Express, MongoDB, and the MEAN ecosystem, in addition to Postgres, Redis, and event-driven components.

Database & Performance Optimization: Design schemas, optimize queries, and ensure high availability and performance for data-intensive workloads.

Cloud-Native Engineering: Build and deploy microservices on AWS using ECS, RDS, S3, EventBridge, SQS, Docker, and related cloud tools.

Engineering Best Practices: Implement Agile practices, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code review, and static analysis processes.

AI-Assisted Development: Use AI coding tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) to refactor large codebases, improve test coverage, and enhance developer productivity.

Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with product, frontend, and AI teams; mentor junior engineers; and contribute to backend architecture and design patterns.

Your Profile

Must Have

BSc in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

Minimum 5 years of professional backend engineering experience

Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and TypeScript

Solid background in system design, API development, database optimization, and distributed systems

Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud-native architectures

Experience with Agile development, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and static code analysis

Practical experience using AI coding tools to refactor or test a large source code base

Good command of conversational English

Strong professional attitude, ownership mentality, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Experience with EHR systems or health clinic workflows

Experience designing and operating microservices at scale

Experience mentoring junior developers

Interest in scalability, security, and performance improvement in backend systems
