Job Profile

DNEXT is recruiting a Senior Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and AWS to join our dynamic team. This position requires a developer who is skilled in backend technologies and possesses strong soft skills to effectively collaborate with team members. The Senior Backend Developer will have the following responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js.
• Utilize AWS services to ensure scalable, reliable, and secure backend infrastructure.
• Collaborate regularly with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design cohesive, functional code.
• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for new and existing features.
• Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and seeking continuous improvement.

As a startup, we seek someone who is proactive and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. We develop using an agile methodology based on weekly sprints.

Qualifications

Required Competenties

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Backend Developer with a strong focus on Node.js.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to Lambda, EventBridge, RDS (Aurora), IAM and S3.
• Familiarity with SQL database management.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English.

Preferred Competenties

• Previous experience in a startup environment.
• Knowledge of Snowflake cloud-based data storage.
• Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration tools
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
