Senior Backend Engineer

Moyasar Financial Company is A Saudi company headquartered in Riyadh and licensed to provide payment aggregation services by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA). Established in 2015 by passionate engineers who worked in different sectors, learned a lot from the market, and went on a journey to build an efficient and reliable payment solution for the online marketplace. Moyasar has proven success and reliability records since that time and helped a lot of merchants switch to providing their services online during the 2020 pandemic.

Moyasar is working with the market's most prominent acquirer banks and has an ever-expanding network of merchants from all business sectors and sizes.

In our mission to provide a secure, effective, and reliable payment infrastructure to everyone, we are looking for backend developers who love to work on mission-critical systems, have good experience with systems integration yet strive to build simple interfaces for our clients, and write clear and easy to maintain code.

We are a Ruby on Rails shop but we welcome any experienced developers in other frameworks and languages who are willing to work with Ruby on Rails.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Develop and maintain Moyasar's payment systems.

- Optimize and improve the system's performance.

- Automate testing from unit to integration tests.

- Contribute to the design of new features.

- Help document features for developers and users.

Essential Requirements:

- BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.

- Hands-on experience with Ruby on Rails or any other MVC frameworks like ASP.NET Core or Laravel.

- Good understanding of relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.

- Good understanding of the HTTP standard and RESTful API design patterns.

- Experience with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

- Comfortable setting up and working with Linux.
