Senior BIM Architectural Engineer (Shopdrawing)

Role Description:

• Lead the development, coordination, and management of high-level architectural BIM models up to LOD 450 (Fabrication/Shop Drawing) and LOD 500 (As-Built), ensuring absolute accuracy and compliance with construction and fabrication specifications.
• Supervise, direct, and mentor a team of BIM modelers and junior engineers, reviewing their day-to-day shop drawing production to ensure strict adherence to high LOD standards.
• Collaborate closely with structural, MEP, and site construction teams to resolve complex interdisciplinary clashes and produce fully integrated fabrication-level drawings.
• Establish, enforce, and optimize advanced BIM standards, modeling protocols, and shop drawing workflows tailored for construction execution and site delivery.
• Conduct rigorous model reviews, coordinate shop-to-as-built transitions, and ensure elements contain precise manufacturing, assembly, and installation data.
• Support project managers and the site team by extracting accurate quantities, sequencing data, and material specifications directly from the high-LOD models.
• Stay updated with cutting-edge BIM technologies, detailing methodologies, and prefabrication trends to enhance team productivity and drawing accuracy.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 to 10 years of professional experience in architectural BIM, with a strong, proven focus on Shop Drawing production and construction detailing.
• Hands-on expertise and leadership experience in managing teams and implementing LOD 400/450 and LOD 500 workflows on major projects.
• Expert proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks (for clash detection and coordination), BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, and detailing tools.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction methods, material manufacturing tolerances, building codes, and site execution requirements.
• Strong leadership, delegation, and communication skills with the ability to guide technical staff and coordinate with consultants and contractors.
