Role Description The Senior Civil Structural Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Cairo, Egypt, responsible for leading the structural design and engineering aspects of residential and mixed-use projects. This role includes preparing and reviewing structural designs, calculations, and drawings, ensuring compliance with local codes, international standards, and company quality requirements. The engineer will coordinate with architectural, MEP, and construction teams, participate in design review meetings, and provide technical guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Day-to-day tasks involve performing structural analysis, overseeing design optimization for safety and cost-effectiveness, conducting site visits to verify implementation, and resolving technical issues in collaboration with contractors and consultants. The Senior Civil Structural Engineer will also support project planning, contribute to risk assessments, and mentor junior engineers to maintain high engineering standards across all developments.
Qualifications
- experience in structural 10 Years
- Strong foundation in Civil Engineering and Structural Engineering, with proven experience in building and infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in Civil Engineering Design and Structural Analysis, including use of relevant design codes and engineering software (e.g., ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, STAAD or similar).
- Demonstrated Project Management skills, including planning, coordination with multidisciplinary teams, and monitoring project deliverables and timelines.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; a master's degree or professional certification is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in real estate development or large-scale residential/mixed-use projects, ideally within the Middle East or similar markets.
- Ability to interpret and review structural drawings, specifications, and construction documents with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is an asset.
