Job Description

- Location: Bangkok / Dubai / Malta

- Level: Senior

- Reporting line: Head of IP

- Headcount: Solo position (you are the brand-protection function)

Purpose

Act as the company's single point of truth for brand-abuse intelligence. You will independently monitor trademark registries, domains, app stores, social media, ad networks, and e-commerce sites, then deliver evidence-ready alerts that enable the Head of IP to move fast on oppositions, takedowns, and litigation.

Core responsibilities

End-to-end monitoring

+ Set up and fine-tune keyword, image, and similarity searches across all relevant channels.

+ Review alerts daily; filter out noise and surface genuine threats within eight hours.

Risk assessment

+ Score each finding on legal, financial, and reputational impact.

+ Escalate high-severity items to the Head of IP within 24 hours; maintain a queue for lower-risk cases.

Evidence preparation

+ Capture screenshots, WHOIS and DNS data, transaction flows, and metadata with chain of custody.

+ Package evidence so it can drop straight into opposition filings, UDRP/URS

complaints, or court exhibits.

Dashboard & reporting

+ Own a live violation dashboard showing case status, response times, and

repeat-offender patterns.

+ Send a concise weekly digest to the Head of IP and a monthly trend report to Legal, Security, and Marketing.

Tool & vendor optimisation

+ Tune rules and filters in Corsearch, MarkMonitor, Netcraft, Cloudflare Brand Protection, or similar.

+ Track SLA performance; recommend tech or vendor changes when detection

speed or accuracy lags.

Cross-team coordination

+ Provide Anti-Fraud, Compliance, and Marketing with fresh intelligence (e.g., phishing URLs, impersonation ads).

+ Support enforcement actions by drafting takedown requests and

cease-and-desist letters when needed.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree (Law, Cyber-security, Business, or related field).

5 + years in brand-protection, IP monitoring, fraud analytics, or OSINT research, with proven success against phishing or trademark abuse.

Hands-on skill with trademark databases, WHOIS/DNS lookups, and basic HTML/HTTP concepts.

Proficiency in Excel/Sheets plus one or more monitoring platforms (Corsearch, MarkMonitor, Red Points, etc.).

Strong English writing skills; able to deliver clear, actionable risk briefings for executives.

Key attributes

Self-starter who thrives as a team of one; comfortable making triage decisions without hand-holding.

Detail-obsessed yet able to step back and spot macro trends.

Clear communicator who translates technical data into plain-language risk statements.

High integrity and strict respect for confidentiality.

Success metrics (first 12 months)

95 % of high-severity findings triaged within eight hours.

Average detection-to-takedown cycle time reduced by 20 % versus baseline.

Evidence packs accepted by outside counsel with < 5 % rework.

At least one new automation or rule set that cuts false positives by 15 % or more.
