Job Description
As a Senior Business Analyst, you will support a large-scale banking transformation programme covering core banking, credit risk, finance, and regulatory reporting systems.
About The Role
- Gather, analyse, and consolidate business requirements through workshops with finance, risk, regulatory, and technology stakeholders
- Perform impact assessments and gap analyses across applications, business processes, data flows, and system interfaces
- Define data mappings and ensure functional requirements comply with business and regulatory expectations
- Prepare detailed business requirements, functional specifications, and non-functional requirements
- Translate complex business needs into clear requirements for technical and development teams
- Work closely with business analysts, solution architects, application specialists, and developers to design functional solutions
- Plan and coordinate migration, testing, and user acceptance testing activities
- Manage the requirements backlog and track system transformations, enhancements, and adaptations
- Identify delivery risks, bottlenecks, and functional gaps, and recommend appropriate solutions
- Coordinate deliverables across multiple teams and ensure formal validation from relevant stakeholders
- Support the complete project lifecycle, from analysis and solution design through implementation and production transition
- Monitor project progress and drive assigned deliverables through to completion
About You
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, information technology, or a related field
- At least 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst
- Strong knowledge of credit risk, including limits, collateral management, and counterparty risk
- Good understanding of regulatory reporting frameworks, including Basel and local regulatory requirements
- Knowledge of accounting processes, general ledger structures, accounting schemes, and liquidity management
- Solid understanding of core banking products and processes, including loans, deposits, foreign exchange, derivatives, guarantees, limits, and securities
- Knowledge of the credit lifecycle and IFRS 9 reporting implementation
- Experience across the complete IT project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, functional documentation, workshops, testing, and stakeholder management
- Strong ability to conduct workshops, challenge requirements, and communicate with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically distributed teams
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organisational, and prioritisation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- You are comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced environment and take ownership of deliverables throughout each project phase
