Senior Business Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Strategic Planning function and contribute to strategy formulation, execution and corporate performance management.

This role will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, Finance and business functions to support strategic decision-making, performance monitoring and the execution of key strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research, industry trend analysis and internal assessments to support strategy formulation.
• Analyse macroeconomic indicators, competitor financials and emerging banking trends, particularly across the GCC.
• Partner with Finance to ensure budgets, financial projections and balance sheet targets are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, risk appetite and growth plans.
• Support the execution of strategic initiatives by working closely with initiative sponsors and project leads.
• Contribute to corporate performance management, including the development and tracking of departmental KPIs.
• Conduct financial and performance analysis of internal functions and peer banks, identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Develop management dashboards, executive reports and Board-level presentations, ensuring consistency and transparency of information.
• Evaluate potential market entry opportunities, strategic alliances and FinTech partnerships across Qatar and the wider GCC.
• Lead or support strategic projects as required, including acting as a Project Manager where appropriate.
• Position reports to VP – Strategic Planning

Candidate Profile

• 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with at least 7 years within banking or a closely related financial services environment.
• Strong experience in banking strategy, strategic planning, change management and financial analysis.
• Good understanding of GCC banking markets and industry trends.
• Experience in FinTech, strategic partnerships or market expansion initiatives would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear strategic insights.
• Candidates from Group Strategy functions or strategy consulting firms with significant banking strategy experience are encouraged to apply.
• Relevant professional certifications are desirable but not mandatory.
