Senior Business Analyst / Product Owner (Business Banking exp is must) for our client in Dubai

1. Business Analyst (BA), Business Banking

Purpose: Translate business needs into clear requirements and support delivery of Business Banking products and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse and document business and functional requirements by working with business, operations, risk, compliance and technology teams.
• Write user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows and BRDs/FRDs.
• Analyse current processes, find gaps and propose improvements.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and UAT, including test scenarios and defect triage.
• Make sure solutions meet regulatory, risk and control requirements.
• Maintain traceability from requirements to delivery.

Required skills

• Proven business analysis experience in banking (8-10+ years overall).
• Strong knowledge of Business Banking products and processes.
• Skilled in process modelling (BPMN), user stories and data analysis (SQL/Excel is a plus).
• Tools: Jira, Confluence, and diagramming tools.

Good to have: CBAP or PMI-PBA certification, API or digital banking exposure.

2. Product Owner, Business Banking

Purpose: Own the vision, roadmap and backlog for a Business Banking product or platform, and maximise the value it delivers.

Responsibilities

• Define product vision and roadmap aligned with business strategy.
• Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing customer value, risk, regulatory needs and cost.
• Work with business heads, operations, risk and technology to turn goals into deliverables.
• Accept or reject completed work against acceptance criteria.
• Track outcomes using KPIs such as adoption, turnaround time, and revenue or cost impact.
• Communicate progress, risks and decisions to senior stakeholders.
• Gather customer and market feedback to shape the roadmap.

Required skills

• Product ownership experience in a bank (8-10+ years overall).
• Deep Business Banking domain knowledge.
• Strong prioritisation, decision-making and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Familiarity with Scrum/SAFe, Jira and roadmap tools.

Good to have: CSPO or SAFe POPM certification, digital transformation experience.
