Senior Business Analyst - Pune

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Engineering

-         Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and domain research

-         Translate business needs into functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria

-         Create and maintain Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with clear scope, assumptions, and dependencies

-         Define non-functional requirements: performance, security, compliance, scalability, and usability

-         Manage requirements traceability from business need through implementation and testing

-         Facilitate requirements prioritization using MoSCoW, RICE, or similar frameworks

Process & Workflow Analysis

-         Map complex multi-step business processes and user journeys across multiple personas

-         Create process flows, swimlane diagrams, and state transition diagrams using standard notations (BPMN, UML)

-         Identify automation opportunities and human touchpoints in workflows

-         Analyze current-state processes and design future-state improvements

-         Document decision rules, business logic, and exception handling scenarios

-         Define workflow states, transitions, triggers, and approval hierarchies

Stakeholder Management & Communication

-         Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders, product management, and engineering teams

-         Facilitate workshops, sprint planning, and backlog refinement sessions

-         Manage expectations and communicate trade-offs between scope, timeline, and resources

-         Present requirements, designs, and analysis findings to leadership and cross-functional teams

-         Coordinate with compliance and legal teams on regulatory requirements and constraints

-         Build relationships with external partners and vendors for integration requirements

Product Documentation & Specifications

-         Write clear, comprehensive user stories with acceptance criteria following INVEST principles

-         Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in collaboration with UX/UI designers

-         Document API requirements, data models, and integration specifications for engineering teams

-         Maintain product knowledge base including feature documentation, FAQs, and user guides

-         Create data dictionaries, glossaries, and taxonomy definitions for domain terminology

-         Develop test scenarios and support QA with business context and edge case identification

UAT & Go-to-Market Support

-         Plan and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders

-         Define UAT test cases, scenarios, and success criteria aligned with business requirements

-         Triage defects and change requests, distinguishing bugs from enhancements

-         Support product launches with training materials, release notes, and stakeholder communication

-         Gather post-launch feedback and translate into product improvement recommendations

-         Track feature adoption and success metrics against business objectives

Domain Expertise & Continuous Improvement

-         Develop deep understanding of fintech domain: KYC/AML, payments, compliance, regulatory frameworks

-         Research industry trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes

-         Identify process inefficiencies and propose optimization opportunities

-         Contribute to product roadmap discussions with data-driven insights

-         Mentor junior analysts and establish BA best practices and templates

-         Maintain awareness of emerging technologies and their business applications
