SeniorBusinessContinuity Analyst
JobOverview:
The SeniorBusinessContinuity Analyst develops, implements, and testsBC/DR plans. This role conducts risk assessments, coordinates exercises, and works withbusinessunits to ensure plans areviableand effective.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Develop andmaintainthe enterpriseBusinessContinuity Management program strategy and policy.
2.FacilitateBusinessImpact Analysis (BIA) workshops withbusinessunit leaders to quantify the impact of disruptions.
3.Develop and write detailed recovery strategies and procedures for criticalbusinessfunctions and IT systems.
4.Plan, coordinate, and executeBC/DR tests and exercises, from tabletop simulations to full-scale drills.
5.Analyze test results, document lessonslearned anddevelop action plans to address gaps and improve plans.
6.Conduct risk assessments and threat analyses to inform theBC strategy and mitigation efforts.
7.Ensure theBC programcomplies withall regulatory, legal, and customer audit requirements.
8.Lead the integration of theBC program with other organizational functions, including IT Disaster Recovery, Crisis Management, and Security.
9.Train and coachbusinessunit representatives on their roles and responsibilities within theBC/DR plans.
10. Evaluate and recommendnew technologiesand solutions to improve recovery capabilities and reduce recovery times.
Qualifications:
PreviousExperience:3 to 5 yearsof direct experience inbusinesscontinuity or disaster recovery planning.
Proven experience infacilitatingBIAs and developing recovery strategies.
Hands-on experience in designing and executingBC/DR tests and exercises.
Strong knowledge of relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34).
Excellent facilitation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze complex situations and develop practical solutions.
Certificationsuch as CBCP (CertifiedBusinessContinuity Professional) or ISO 22301 Lead Implementerisexpected.
