Senior Buyer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a leading organization in Kuwait. This confidential opportunity is ideal for a commercially driven buyer with strong experience in supplier negotiations, product sourcing, forecasting, inventory management, and purchasing.
As a Senior Buyer, you will take ownership of the buying process across assigned products and suppliers, ensuring the right stock is secured at the right price, quantity, and time. You will work closely with local and international suppliers while using sales and inventory data to make informed buying decisions and maximize commercial performance.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Manage the full buying cycle from product sourcing and supplier negotiation through purchase order placement and delivery.
- Source new products, brands, and suppliers based on business and market requirements.
- Negotiate pricing, margins, payment terms, lead times, quantities, and commercial agreements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers.
- Prepare purchase forecasts based on historical sales, current performance, seasonality, and upcoming demand.
- Manage purchasing within approved budgets and OTB (Open-to-Buy) plans.
- Review and place purchase orders to maintain optimal product availability.
- Monitor stock levels, sell-through, inventory turnover, and product performance.
- Identify fast-moving, slow-moving, and non-moving products and take appropriate purchasing actions.
- Work with suppliers to improve pricing, availability, lead times, fill rates, and overall commercial terms.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve purchasing or delivery issues when required.
- Analyze sales, stock, and purchasing data to identify opportunities and potential risks.
- Coordinate purchasing requirements for promotions, campaigns, launches, and seasonal events.
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Digital, Finance, and Logistics teams.
- Support private label purchasing, including production planning, quantities, timelines, and supplier coordination.
- Ensure all purchasing activities and documentation comply with internal policies and procedures.
- Provide guidance and support to junior members of the buying and purchasing team when required.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in buying or purchasing, preferably within retail or e-commerce.
- Strong experience in supplier sourcing and commercial negotiations.
- Experience working with both local and international suppliers.
- Strong knowledge of forecasting, stock management, purchasing, and inventory planning.
- Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of margins, pricing, and product performance.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and commercially driven environment.
