Our cash-management function oversees daily liquidity, banking operations, cash forecasting, payment flows, bank-account structures, reconciliations, funding requirements, and treasury controls to ensure the organization has the right liquidity in the right locations at the right time.
The RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Cash Management Specialist to lead daily cash-management activities, liquidity monitoring, cash forecasting, banking operations, payment controls, bank reconciliations, cash positioning, and treasury-process improvement.
The ideal candidate will maintain accurate visibility of cash across accounts and entities, optimize daily liquidity, coordinate banking activities, identify funding requirements, strengthen cash controls, and provide management with timely insight into cash positions, movements, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily cash-management activities across assigned entities, bank accounts, currencies, and jurisdictions.
- Prepare daily and periodic cash-position reports covering available balances, expected inflows, expected outflows, and liquidity requirements.
- Monitor cash balances across operating, collection, payroll, tax, investment, and other bank accounts.
- Consolidate bank-account balances across multiple financial institutions and entities.
- Review daily bank statements and identify significant or unusual cash movements.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing cash flows and investigate unexpected transactions.
- Coordinate daily cash positioning and liquidity allocation activities.
- Identify surplus cash and short-term funding requirements based on forecast liquidity needs.
- Coordinate cash transfers between group entities and bank accounts where appropriate.
- Prepare intercompany funding requests, cash transfers, and treasury settlement instructions.
- Monitor intercompany loans, funding arrangements, and related cash movements.
- Coordinate with Treasury and Accounting teams to ensure cash movements are accurately recorded.
- Prepare short-term and medium-term cash-flow forecasts.
- Maintain rolling cash forecasts using historical activity, business plans, payment schedules, collection expectations, and operational assumptions.
- Analyze forecast-to-actual cash-flow variances and identify underlying drivers.
- Improve cash-flow forecast accuracy through stronger assumptions, data quality, and stakeholder collaboration.
- Coordinate cash-flow inputs with Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, Tax, Procurement, FP&A, and Operations.
- Monitor expected customer collections and supplier payments to assess liquidity requirements.
- Review payment schedules and identify potential timing impacts on cash balances.
- Monitor payroll, tax, debt-service, capital expenditure, and other significant cash requirements.
- Identify upcoming liquidity gaps and escalate potential funding requirements.
- Support short-term liquidity planning and working-capital management.
- Monitor daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly liquidity positions.
- Maintain appropriate minimum cash thresholds and liquidity buffers in accordance with treasury policies.
- Monitor restricted cash, trapped cash, pledged balances, and other cash availability limitations.
- Analyze cash held across entities and jurisdictions and identify opportunities to improve liquidity utilization.
- Coordinate bank-account opening, closure, maintenance, and documentation processes.
- Maintain accurate records of bank accounts, authorized signatories, account purposes, currencies, and ownership structures.
- Monitor bank-account structures and recommend rationalization opportunities where appropriate.
- Coordinate changes to bank mandates and authorized signatories in accordance with governance requirements.
- Maintain appropriate documentation for bank-account administration and treasury controls.
- Manage banking relationships and coordinate operational matters with financial institutions.
- Liaise with banks regarding payment issues, account inquiries, transaction investigations, fees, service levels, and documentation.
- Monitor bank service quality, transaction processing, response times, and agreed service standards.
- Review bank fees, transaction charges, interest income, and other banking costs.
- Identify opportunities to optimize banking costs and transaction structures.
- Coordinate payment processing activities and ensure payment instructions are appropriately authorized.
- Review payment batches and treasury payment files for completeness, accuracy, and authorization.
- Monitor high-value, urgent, international, and exceptional payments.
- Ensure payment processes comply with treasury policies, approval matrices, sanctions requirements, and internal controls.
- Investigate rejected, delayed, returned, or incorrectly processed payments.
- Coordinate resolution of payment exceptions with banks, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and relevant business teams.
- Monitor incoming collections and ensure unidentified or unapplied receipts are investigated promptly.
- Coordinate with Accounts Receivable on cash application, customer collections, and unidentified cash.
- Perform or oversee daily and periodic bank reconciliations.
- Investigate bank-reconciliation differences, outstanding items, duplicate transactions, and unexplained balances.
- Ensure bank reconciliations are completed accurately and within financial-close deadlines.
- Coordinate with Accounting on cash-related journal entries, accruals, bank charges, interest, and foreign-exchange movements.
- Review accounting treatment of treasury transactions and ensure appropriate ledger recording.
- Monitor foreign-currency cash balances and assess currency-related liquidity requirements.
- Coordinate foreign-currency funding and cash transfers where appropriate.
- Monitor foreign-exchange exposure arising from operational cash balances.
- Support foreign-exchange management activities and provide cash-flow information to Treasury.
- Prepare liquidity and cash-management reports for Treasury leadership and senior management.
- Develop dashboards covering cash balances, liquidity, forecasts, bank activity, payment flows, and cash risks.
- Monitor key cash-management metrics and identify trends, exceptions, and emerging risks.
- Prepare management commentary explaining significant cash movements, liquidity changes, and forecast variances.
- Support treasury reporting, financial planning, and liquidity analysis.
- Coordinate with FP&A on cash-flow assumptions, forecasts, budgets, and business planning.
- Support working-capital initiatives by analyzing receivables, payables, inventory-related cash impacts, and payment terms.

The successful candidate should have strong experience in cash management, treasury operations, liquidity management, corporate treasury, banking operations, or financial control, preferably within a multinational, multi-entity, commercial, financial-services, industrial, or asset-intensive organization.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Proven experience managing daily cash-management and treasury activities.
- Strong understanding of liquidity management, cash positioning, and cash forecasting.
