Senior Category Manager | MAF Global Solutions | Global Solutions Egypt
ROLE SUMMARY
Leading a team to execute both tactical and strategic sourcing of products and services for all MAF operating companies across various countries within F&B Category while ensuring alignment with strategic initiatives and plans developed in Dubai.
ROLE PROFILE
- Support the category lead in delivering the F&B strategic roadmap, annual budgets, and business-aligned priorities.
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies that comply with legal, policy, and business requirements.
- Lead complex sourcing activities for new projects, ensuring milestone achievement and timely delivery.
- Drive cost improvements through consolidation, standardization, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis.
- Negotiate prices and finalize commercial agreements in coordination with Legal while meeting sourcing and savings targets.
- Analyze markets, industry trends, and spend data to identify cost drivers and strategic opportunities.
- Manage supplier relationships, performance, and procurement process improvements across OpCos.
- Lead and develop the procurement team while reporting sourcing outcomes and ensuring project alignment with F&B category goals.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree required; professional procurement certifications preferred (MCIPS/CIPS/APICS), with MBA and Arabic fluency optional.
- 1517 years of procurement experience, including 710 years in a similar senior role.
- Strong behavioral competencies including communication, problem-solving, customer focus, influencing skills, and team management.
- Extensive experience in direct procurement within the F&B category, including complex sourcing, major deal negotiations, spend analysis, and strategy development.
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, contract terms, legal considerations, and risk assessment.
- Skilled in using e-sourcing platforms and ERPs (e.g., Oracle, Ariba, Coupa) with experience in shared services procurement as a plus.
