Main Purpose Of The Job
- Provide non-electrical testing services regarding both external and internal requirements, including legal compliance, international standards, and customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the safety of lab equipment and tools.
- Adherence to implementing 5S & Lean projects and instructions.
- Comply with standard operating procedures Work instructions are set by the company management & conveyed to direct reports.
- Execute the products non-electrical testing plan according to the standard operating procedures for every process, as well as the international standards.
- Execute non-electrical type tests.
- Coordinate & review the weekly non-electrical testing loading plan in accordance with the machine loading plan.
- Responsible for the FAT and client / third-party inspection.
- Supervise the direct reports for executing the testing output and ensure that the testing processes are done properly.
- Define sampling plans with statistical rationales and process control plans and apply SPC to MFG applications.
- Evaluate and recommend quality sampling plans based on desired confidence limits, process capabilities, and manufacturing/inspection methods and equipment.
- Utilise standard statistical analysis techniques to determine product acceptance, evaluate the product, and develop statistically sound tolerance limits based on product specifications.
- Define deliverable quality requirements as input to project plans.
- Establish technical analysis and reports for the root cause of test failure and NCRs as required by the quality management system documents.
- Contribute to and drive continuous improvement of resources Manpower, Machine & Materials.
- Scheduling jobs with maximum manpower utilisation & resources to achieve the labs target in coordination with the labs manager.
- Estimate manpower requirements, testing times, material requirements, and relative costs to provide data for operational decisions
- Represent quality during the new product development process and design reviews.
- Prepare vendor quality/inspection protocols.
- Reports test results and entries.
- Provide technical guidance and training to other team members in statistical analysis techniques, experimental design, data analysis, sampling techniques, and other traditional quality engineering areas of expertise.
- Provides technical expertise on specific tests and operating systems
Assists in the development of test plans and test procedures.
Job Requirement:
- Education: B.S. degree or equivalent in Chemical Engineering or B.Sc. in chemistry
- Years of Experience: 2-5 years.
- Language: Arabic & English
- Computer skills: Microsoft Office
Technical competencies:
- Understand cable testing techniques, labs, test procedures, and related documentation.
- Understand testing equipment/labs from a process point of view, rates, ranges, and capabilities in alignment with the production capabilities.
- Dealing with clients and customers.
- Good command of metals, all types of polymers (PVC / XLPE, etc.), and other cable materials
- Strong QA/QC knowledge
- The ability to work to agreed deadlines
- Demonstrates the ability to analyse a problem and complete detailed reports.
- Able to methodically produce the steps that exhibit problems in the testing process and be able to reproduce and communicate these steps.
