Job Title: Senior Civil Cost Control Engineer

Location: Head Office

Department: Cost Control

Reports To: Cost Control Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Civil Cost Control Engineer supports the Lead Civil Cost Control Engineer in managing cost-related aspects of civil works within construction projects. This role involves developing detailed cost estimates, monitoring budgets, tracking project expenditures, and ensuring that financial targets are met. The senior engineer also plays a critical role in assessing variations, preparing reports, and maintaining cost data integrity throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review cost estimates for Civil works after project award.
  • Prepare the project budget on the approved cost control master budget format.
  • Monitor project costs against budgets and report variances (Budget Comparison sheet).
  • Analyze & Support in civil & Arch -related change orders and cost claims in coordination with PMT & QS department.
  • Assist in certifying contractor/Vendors payment applications and progress valuations in coordination with PMT/QS & Finance departments.
  • Support preparation of cash flow forecasts and financial status reports.
  • Maintain accurate cost data and ensure documentation is up-to-date (PO analysis, Manpower + Equipment Timesheets).
  • Collaborate with planning, procurement, and PMT teams to align cost data with project milestones.
  • Conduct cost analysis and benchmarking to support value engineering.
  • Report to the Lead Civil Cost Control Engineer with regular updates on cost performance on monthly basis (MCR).

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • 58 years of relevant experience in cost control for civil construction projects.
  • Proficiency in cost management tools and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and construction methodologies.
  • Familiarity with contract administration and standard forms (e.g., FIDIC).
  • Good analytical, communication, and reporting skills.
