Senior Civil Design Engineer

Hiring: Senior Design Civil Engineer (Thermal Power)

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Up to SAR 22,000/month total package (inclusive of base salary & fixed allowances)

We are currently representing a leading international engineering consultancy supporting major Thermal Power and Combined Cycle Power Plant projects across Saudi Arabia.

This role sits within a highly technical EPC and Owner's Engineer environment, supporting the design review and engineering coordination of large-scale utility and power generation infrastructure projects.

Applications will only be considered from candidates who meet ALL of the below criteria:

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

✔ Approved/Registered by the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) in the Civil discipline

✔ Minimum 10 years of directly related experience within large Thermal Power Projects

✔ Strong EPC and power generation project environment exposure

Candidates without Thermal Power Project experience and Saudi Council of Engineers approval will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and coordinate Civil design review activities across large-scale Thermal Power and Combined Cycle Power Plant projects

• Review EPC engineering submissions, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary engineering deliverables

• Review Civil, Structural & Architectural packages including foundations, drainage systems, buildings, roads, layouts, calculations, and design criteria

• Coordinate closely with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal engineering disciplines

• Support construction methodologies, field engineering activities, technical compliance, risk mitigation, and design modifications

• Review IFC/AFC drawings, vendor submissions, red mark-ups, as-built drawings, and engineering change documentation

Additional Requirements:

✔ Proven experience reviewing Civil, Structural & Architectural engineering deliverables

✔ Experience within engineering consultancy, Owner's Engineer, or large EPC project environments

✔ Strong understanding of international engineering standards and design review processes

✔ Proficiency with relevant Civil Engineering design software and MS Office

✔ Strong technical coordination and stakeholder management capability
