Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling technical and administrative project functions, including determining required technical skills and staff hours for successful project completion.
- Review drawings, reports, and specifications submitted by the design office for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with approved conditions and applicable standards.
- Interpret construction drawings, contract documents, and specifications prior to execution of any works.
- Review contractor correspondence on contractual issues (variation orders, claims, extension of time) and provide recommendations or replies; support Q.S/Contracts team on commercial matters as required.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify ongoing works, quality, progress, and identify potential conflicts, recommending corrective measures as necessary.
- Lead and supervise engineers, inspectors, and surveyors during construction, monitoring contractor and subcontractor performance.
- Track and review contractor progress, materials, manpower, and equipment to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Attend project meetings (weekly, monthly, and others), review progress, identify constraints, and recommend corrective measures.
- Ensure compliance with HSE policies, promote awareness among team members, and support HSE audits and reviews.
- Monitor final inspections, snagging, and handover of completed facilities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering .
- 13+ years of relevant experience in civil engineering projects (infrastructure and/or buildings).
- Strong knowledge of civil works: roads, utilities, drainage, earthworks, and concrete structures.
- Familiarity with local regulations and standards.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Project, or similar tools.
- Experience in construction supervision, contract review, and project management.
- Professional Engineer registration or membership is a plus.
