Senior Civil Estimation Engineer

JOB OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Civil Estimation Engineer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating the costs associated with civil construction projects, including infrastructure, site development, earthworks, roads, and utilities. The Civil Estimation Engineer will analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates and bids.

Key Responsibilities:

·       Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate cost estimates for civil construction projects.

·       Prepare quantity take-offs and cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.

·       Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.

·       Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates align with project goals and constraints.

·       Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project scope and conditions.

·       Maintain and organize drawing files and related documents in accordance with company standards.

·       Assist in the preparation of tender submissions, bid documents, and project proposals.

·       Monitor cost trends and provide feedback on project budgeting and forecasting.

·       Support value engineering and cost-saving initiatives.

Qualifications:

·       Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.

·       10+ years of experience in civil estimating or related construction roles.

·       Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, materials, and codes.

·       Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Heavy Bid, Plan Swift, AutoCAD, or similar).

·       Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills.

·       Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
