Responsibilities
Lead and oversee the civil engineering department, providing strategic direction, guidance, and mentorship to the team.
Manage and coordinate civil engineering projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgets.
Review and approve engineering designs, plans, and specifications for construction.
Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of civil engineering within multidisciplinary projects.
Supervise and inspect construction activities to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and industry standards.
Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in civil engineering practices.
Provide technical expertise and guidance on complex civil engineering matters.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field of study.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
Professional Engineer (PE) license and in-depth knowledge of applicable engineering codes and regulations.
Proven track record of successfully delivering civil engineering projects on time and within budget.
Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering innovative and effective solutions.
Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
