The Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Application Specialist to provide clinical expertise, application support, customer training, workflow optimization, product demonstrations, and implementation guidance for healthcare technologies and clinical solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine strong clinical knowledge with excellent communication and application expertise to help healthcare professionals use products safely and effectively, support successful implementations, identify customer needs, and translate clinical requirements into actionable product and service improvements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement clinical application strategies aligned with product, customer, and organizational objectives.
  • Provide clinical expertise and application support for assigned healthcare products, technologies, systems, or devices.
  • Serve as a trusted clinical resource for healthcare professionals, customers, internal teams, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Support implementation and adoption of clinical technologies across hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and other healthcare environments.
  • Conduct comprehensive customer onboarding and clinical application training.
  • Develop training plans, curricula, materials, demonstrations, competency assessments, and supporting documentation.
  • Deliver on-site, remote, classroom, workshop, and hands-on clinical training sessions.
  • Adapt training content to different clinical specialties, user experience levels, workflows, and customer requirements.
  • Demonstrate appropriate and effective use of products, devices, software, and clinical applications.
  • Support healthcare professionals in optimizing clinical workflows and application settings.
  • Observe customer workflows and identify opportunities to improve product utilization and clinical efficiency.
  • Provide clinical guidance during implementation, configuration, validation, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Support customer acceptance testing and application validation where applicable.
  • Develop clinical use cases, workflow scenarios, and application best practices.
  • Provide advanced application troubleshooting and investigate recurring user or workflow issues.
  • Work with Technical Service and Engineering teams to distinguish clinical application issues from technical faults.
  • Escalate product quality, safety, technical, or clinical concerns through appropriate channels.
  • Support investigation and resolution of customer-reported application issues.
  • Document customer issues, recommendations, training activities, application findings, and resolutions accurately.
  • Monitor product utilization and identify opportunities for improved clinical adoption.
  • Develop strategies to increase user competency, confidence, and appropriate product utilization.
  • Support clinical evaluations, demonstrations, pilots, proof-of-concept programs, and product assessments.
  • Coordinate clinical trials, evaluations, or implementation studies where applicable.
  • Support customer sites during product launches, upgrades, software releases, workflow changes, and major implementations.
  • Provide advanced clinical support during critical procedures or high-priority customer activities where appropriate.
  • Support customers in applying products according to approved indications, instructions, clinical protocols, and applicable requirements.
  • Ensure all clinical communications remain within approved product claims, professional standards, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain current knowledge of clinical guidelines, healthcare practices, relevant technologies, and industry developments.
  • Monitor emerging clinical workflows and identify opportunities for product improvement.
  • Collect structured customer feedback and translate clinical needs into actionable product recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Research and Development teams on application requirements and enhancements.
  • Provide clinical input into product development, usability, workflow design, and feature prioritization.
  • Support product launches by developing clinical positioning, application materials, training plans, and customer-readiness programs.
  • Partner with Sales teams during customer meetings, product demonstrations, technical discussions, tenders, and evaluations.
  • Provide clinical expertise during pre-sales activities without compromising regulatory, ethical, or professional requirements.
  • Support preparation of clinical presentations, demonstrations, application guides, technical responses, and educational materials.
  • Participate in conferences, workshops, professional events, customer forums, and clinical education programs.
  • Develop relationships with clinical leaders, key opinion leaders, department heads, educators, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Support development of clinical reference sites and customer success programs.
  • Identify opportunities for customer education, workflow optimization, and best-practice sharing.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction, training effectiveness, adoption levels, and application performance.
  • Establish application-support standards, response expectations, and escalation processes.
  • Track clinical application requests from initial inquiry through resolution and follow-up.
  • Develop application knowledge bases, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, clinical workflow resources, and training repositories.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer training, competencies, demonstrations, implementations, and application-support activities.
  • Support quality-management processes, corrective actions, complaint investigations, and post-market activities where relevant.
  • Report potential product safety, adverse-event, complaint, or quality concerns promptly through established procedures.
  • Participate in clinical and product risk assessments where application expertise is required.
  • Support regulatory and quality teams by providing clinical and application information for investigations or submissions.
  • Ensure application activities comply with applicable healthcare regulations, privacy requirements, quality procedures, and professional standards.
  • Mentor junior Clinical Application Specialists and provide technical and clinical guidance.
  • Develop internal application-training programs for Sales, Customer Service, Technical Support, and other teams.
  • Evaluate new clinical application technologies, digital tools, simulation platforms, and educational approaches.
  • Promote standardization and continuous improvement of clinical application processes.
  • Analyze application-support data to identify recurring issues, training gaps, adoption barriers, and improvement opportunities.

Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate should have strong experience in clinical applications, healthcare technology, medical devices, clinical education, clinical support, healthcare informatics, diagnostic systems, or specialized healthcare workflows, preferably within hospitals, medical-device companies, diagnostics, laboratory technology, imaging, digital health, or other healthcare environments.
