Job Description

Job Purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer – OpenShift to manage, optimize, and support enterprise-grade OpenShift platforms for managed services clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, security, scalability, and performance of containerized environments while collaborating with DevOps, infrastructure, and application teams to deliver resilient cloud-native solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deploy, configure, manage, and maintain Red Hat OpenShift clusters in production environments.
  • Ensure platform availability, reliability, scalability, and performance across enterprise workloads.
  • Perform OpenShift lifecycle management, including upgrades, patching, and cluster maintenance.
  • Monitor cluster health, capacity, and resource utilization to ensure optimal platform performance.
  • Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot containerized applications using OpenShift and Kubernetes.
  • Support microservices-based applications throughout the deployment lifecycle.
  • Manage container networking, persistent storage, ingress, and platform integrations.
  • Configure and maintain services including NTP, LDAP, storage, and authentication components.
  • Automate operational tasks using Ansible, Terraform, Bash, and Python.
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and operational automation to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Support CI/CD integration and platform automation initiatives.
  • Implement container platform security, access controls, vulnerability management, and compliance best practices.
  • Support backup, disaster recovery, failover, and business continuity solutions.
  • Troubleshoot networking, storage, security, and application performance issues within Kubernetes environments.
  • Participate in performance tuning, capacity planning, and platform optimization initiatives.
  • Work closely with DevOps, development, networking, storage, and infrastructure teams.
  • Evaluate new OpenShift capabilities, tools, and platform enhancements.
  • Develop technical documentation, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Share knowledge and promote container platform best practices across engineering teams.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Red Hat OpenShift or Kubernetes certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, EX280, EX380, CKA, CKAD).

Minimum Experience

  • 4+ years of experience supporting enterprise OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering production OpenShift clusters.
