In this critical role, you will drive the design, development, and operation of our internal cloud platform. This role is central to delivering a robust, scalable, and developer-centric infrastructure that powers a diverse suite of microservices and cloud-native applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and manage internal cloud platform services leveraging Kubernetes (e.g., GKE, OKE) on GCP, OCI, or similar.
  • Operate reliable and observable infrastructure systems including CI/CD pipelines, service meshes, and automated deployment frameworks.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Helm, or equivalents.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters including upgrades, tuning, and patch management.
  • Build reusable templates and automation workflows (e.g., GitOps) to support consistent microservices deployment.
  • Deploy and maintain observability solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) to ensure system health and reliability.
  • Create and maintain self-service platforms, CLIs, and APIs for provisioning infrastructure, managing secrets, and automating deployments.
  • Work closely with development teams to streamline deployment processes, reduce manual effort, and enhance developer productivity.
  • Advocate platform adoption through documentation, training sessions, and hands-on enablement.
  • Implement secure-by-default infrastructure practices including IAM policies, network segmentation, and pod security standards.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant internal controls and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure or platform engineering.
  • Deep expertise in Kubernetes and container-based architectures.
  • Proficient with infrastructure automation tools like Terraform, Helm, and GitOps solutions such as ArgoCD or Flux.
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, Linux administration, and service discovery.
  • Experience with observability platforms (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, Fluent Bit).
  • Scripting experience in languages such as Go, Python, or Bash.
  • Familiarity with developer experience tooling and internal platform development is a strong advantage.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, OCI, AWS).
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes policy enforcement tools (e.g., OPA/Gatekeeper).
  • Exposure to cloud-native data services such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis.
