Role Overview
The Senior Commercial Manager will lead the commercial strategy and execution across the region, bridging the gap between traditional trade practices and modern software solutions.
The ideal candidate brings deep experience in trade, distribution, or FMCG environments, combined with the ability to translate commercial needs into scalable tech-driven solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute regional commercial strategies aligned with company growth targets
- Identify and penetrate new markets, sectors, and revenue streams
- Lead pricing strategies, revenue models, and profitability optimization
Business Development & Partnerships
- Build and manage strategic relationships with distributors, partners, and key clients
- Identify partnership opportunities to expand market reach and solution adoption
- Lead contract negotiations and commercial agreements
Sales Leadership
- Oversee regional sales pipelines and ensure achievement of revenue targets
- Collaborate with sales teams to improve conversion rates and deal structuring
- Support enterprise sales cycles, especially for large and complex deals
Market & Product Alignment
- Translate trade and distribution business needs into actionable inputs for product and tech teams
- Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to align offerings with market demand
- Provide market insights and competitor analysis to guide product enhancements
Financial & Commercial Performance
- Monitor KPIs including revenue, margins, customer acquisition, and retention
- Prepare forecasts, budgets, and commercial performance reports
- Optimize cost structures and commercial efficiency
Requirements
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles
- Strong background in trade, distribution, FMCG, or retail sectors
- Proven experience working in or with technology/software companies is highly preferred
- Experience managing regional or multi-country operations
