Senior Commissioning Engineer - Instrumentation
KBR is looking for Specialist Commissioning Engineer Instrument for 6/3 rotation to be based in Abu Dhabi.
Main Responsibilities
- Supporting Company Commissioning Manager in the onshore preparation and planning of the Pre-Comm and Comm integrated services
- Supporting Company Commissioning Engineer offshore execution in the co-ordination of the Pre-Comm and Comm integrated services
- Promotes safety & quality to all personnel within his organization;
- Assist Commissioning Engineer in execution and completion of Check lists & Test Sheets and function test sheets & OTP's to the Project format during offshore execution.
- Assist Company Commissioning Engineer in the preparation and issue of the relevant progress reports & lists,
- Prepares & issues operational tests and pre-start-up procedures, and provides input to the operational test procedures write up done by other engineers as well as necessary resources to execute the OTP's, as per Company Commissioning Engineer Instruction
- Supervise the day-to-day execution of the installation of all instrument equipment as System Cabinet, Hydraulic control equipment, Field Instrument, F&G Cabinet and Detectors
- Ensure work is carried out safely and efficiently in a competent manner and that adherence to the Permit to Work System is performed
- Organize and direct the Pre-Comm & Comm I&C Supervisors and Technicians in the day to day Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning activities
- Ensuring correct compilation of all relevant certification to enact Ready For Commissioning and Ready For Start Up status
- Compilation of punch lists in conjunction with the Construction Contractor and Company
- Ensuring that the required as built drawings as required by the project procedures are maintained and reviewed
- Carry out inspections, surveys and checks to ensure I&C equipment installation and testing is as per Project Specifications including all ATEX certified equipment.
- Ensure safety and security of all activities and workers under his control.
- Provide input into Pre-Comm & Comm Planning
- To execute preservation and maintenance, ensuring all equipment listed is preserved and maintained in accordance with the guarantee requirements of all Vendors
- Interfacing of disciplines and third parties
- Maintaining equipment / system historic records
- Assumes overall preparation, supervision & execution of all OTP's with associated documentary support,
- Assist with the preparation of Commissioning handover manuals and relevant tracking/filing of commissioning reports,
- Ensure schedules (vendors mobilization and commissioning activities) up-dates,
- Ensures that proper resources and Vendor specialists are allocated to the Pre-Comm & Comm Teams to support the various activities.
- Ensure supervision/execution of all the I&C Pre-Comm & Comm activities as per Project specification,
- Ensure supervision and testing of Instrumentation Equipment,
- Maintain & up-date the master documentation,
- Prepares and ensure pre-start-up activities supervision using Contractors Commissioning Supervisors and Technicians,
Experience
- At least 10 year's experience in similar position, essential has experience of ICAPS or similar proprietary completion systems.
- Evidence of formal Instrument & Control Engineering education.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience of multicultural project teams.
- At Least 5 year's experience of Pre-Comm & Commissioning of Offshore Gas Production facilities.
- Experience of Pre-Comm & Comm and Start Up of instrumentation & control field devices, instrumentation certified ATEX equipment, RTU/SCADA & PLC's, Smart Instrumentation / HART protocol and Fire & Gas detectors and in performing following activities, loop checking & stroking of valves, including vendor supplied loops via vendor control systems, Calibration & alignment of Fire & Gas field detectors, Commission Fire & Gas detection system, Commission of PLC based systems and hydraulic control panels, including cause & effect testing.
- Experience and familiarity of ATEX certification and hold a valid certificate of training on ATEX certified equipment
- Experience of preparing all Pre Commissioning-Commissioning-Procedural requirements for Company review and approval.
- Identification consumables/First Fills for Commissioning and Start Up
- Management and supervision of Vendors/Suppliers
- Necessary experience of Offshore Safety and Permit to Work Systems.
