They are looking for a SeniorCompliance Manager to spearhead their compliance and risk management initiatives while guiding the company through the VARA licensing process and supporting its growth across the UAE and international markets.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact with regulatory bodies including VARA, DIFC, and other relevant authorities.
- Oversee and drive the company's VARA licensing process, ensuring all submissions and documentation meet regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that align with virtual asset, real-world asset (RWA), and antimoney laundering (AML) requirements in Dubai and across international jurisdictions.
- Design, implement, and update internal compliance frameworks, including AML, KYC, and CFT procedures, to ensure robust risk governance.
- Ensure organizational policies are fully aligned with FATF recommendations, DFSA/DIFC regulations, and VARA compliance standards.
- Perform periodic reviews, audits, and risk evaluations to identify potential gaps and strengthen the company's overall compliance posture.
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of investor onboarding, including identity verification (KYC) and ongoing wallet or transaction monitoring.
- Implement clear escalation workflows to promptly address and report any unusual or suspicious activities.
- Oversee and maintain partnerships with external compliance vendors providing KYC/AML and monitoring solutions to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Lead ongoing compliance education by training staff and executive teams on policies, procedures, and regulatory best practices.
- Provide strategic guidance to management on regulatory changes, potential risks, and operational obligations.
- Compile and deliver comprehensive reports to the board and regulatory authorities, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Track and review blockchain transactions, token issuance, and secondary market activity to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Work closely with legal and technology teams to verify that smart contracts and platform operations adhere to regulatory requirements.
- Protect investors by ensuring accurate risk reporting and providing transparent disclosures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Law, Business, or a related discipline; Master's degree is an advantage.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, financial oversight, or risk management.
- Demonstrated expertise in implementing AML, KYC, and CFT frameworks within regulated financial institutions or fintech environments.
- In-depth understanding of FATF guidelines, as well as UAE regulatory frameworks including SCA, DFSA, and VARA.
- Hands-on experience with cryptocurrency, blockchain, or digital tokenization initiatives.
- Practical knowledge of the licensing process for financial or virtual asset services in the UAE or internationally.
- Relevant professional certification, such as CAMS, ICA, or an equivalent credential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards for digital assets.
- Effective communicator with the ability to prepare clear documentation and liaise confidently with regulators.
- Highly analytical and detail-focused, with a strong aptitude for identifying and mitigating risks.
- Self-driven and strategic thinker, capable of navigating fast-paced, innovative Web3 and blockchain environments.
