Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Construction Project Consultant to join our team. This role is not a traditional construction project management position. Instead, the successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to developers, contractors, and subcontractors, guiding them on how to effectively plan, manage, and control their construction projects using Procore software.
The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 8 years of experience within the construction industry, with strong technical construction knowledge, solid project management fundamentals, and the seniority required to consult on complex, multi-region projects. While prior experience with Procore is a strong advantage, it is not a requirement. What is essential is proven experience managing construction projects using ERP systems, project management platforms, or similar enterprise solutions, enabling the candidate to quickly translate industry best practices into system-driven workflows.
In this role, the candidate will serve as a Lead Functional Implementer and Senior Project Management Consultant, responsible for leading end-to-end system implementations, advising clients on governance, cost control, and reporting frameworks, and ensuring successful adoption of Procore across their organizations. The position requires a confident, senior-level professional who can operate effectively across multiple time zones, lead implementation engagements from initiation through go-live, and bridge the gap between construction operations and digital project management systems.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Delivery
Lead construction projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on
time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, potentially across different regions and
time zones.
Act as the primary point of accountability for overall project performance.
Technical & Engineering Oversight
Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and technical
documents.
Ensure compliance with applicable civil, structural, and construction standards.
Provide technical guidance to site teams, consultants, contractors, and
stakeholders.
Project Management Systems & Procore
Utilize project management systems effectively, with Procore experience
considered a major plus.
Lead or support the transition and implementation of Procore, including
workflows, reporting, and documentation standards.
Ensure proper documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and progress
tracking within the system.
Cost Control & Financial Management
Take full ownership of project cost control, including budgeting, forecasting, cost
tracking, and variance analysis.
Review contractor payments, variations, claims, and change orders.
Ensure cost discipline throughout the project lifecycle and proactively mitigate
financial risks.
Planning, Scheduling & Risk Management
Develop and monitor project schedules and milestones.
Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies.
Ensure alignment between planning, procurement, construction, and handover
phases.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure projects comply with:
o GCC Civil and Construction Codes
o North Africa Construction Standards
o US Construction Standards (ASTM, ACI, AISC, etc.)
Maintain awareness of regulatory, safety, and quality requirements across regions.
Communication & Stakeholder Management
Communicate effectively with internal teams, clients, consultants, and
contractors.
Prepare clear and professional reports, presentations, and project updates.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (fluency
is mandatory).

Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 8 years of experience in construction project management.
Bachelor's in engineering (Civil or Construction-related discipline preferred).
Demonstrated experience in cost control and financial management of
construction projects.
Proven ability to work across different time zones and manage geographically
dispersed teams.
Prior exposure to Procore or similar project management systems (Procore highly
preferred).
Personal Attributes
Highly responsible, reliable, and accountable individual.
Mature professional mindset suitable for senior-level decision-making.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Application Requirements (Mandatory)
All candidates must submit the following:
1. Updated CV
2. Detailed list of projects worked on, including:
o Project name and location
o Project value
o Duration
o Client / consultant
3. Clear description of responsibilities for each project
4. List of key accomplishments achieved on each project
Applications that do not include project lists and accomplishments will not be considered.
