Head of Content (In-House)
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Review & Quality Control
- Review, edit, and approve all content before publication, including:
- Website pages (projects, resale, community content)
- Paid campaign copy (Google, Meta, LinkedIn)
- Email campaigns and newsletters
- Social media captions and scripts
- Sales decks, brochures, and presentations
- Press Releases
Ensure:
- Brand tone and messaging consistency
- Accuracy of facts, pricing language, and claims
- Alignment with global Sotheby's brand guidelines
- Act as the final editorial authority for sensitive or high-priority content.
2. Content Creation (Hands-On)
- Write and refine content for:
- High-value listings and flagship projects
- Priority campaigns and launches
- Leadership or client-facing communications
- Support the team with:
- Editing, rewriting, and copy refinement
- Clear creative direction for complex briefs
3. Team Management & Execution
- Manage the in-house content team:
- Task assignment and workload planning
- Daily priorities and delivery tracking
- Quality feedback and mentoring
- Ensure the team meets delivery timelines and quality benchmarks.
4. Planning, Workflow & Delivery
- Own content intake, scheduling, and prioritisation across:
- Resale
- Projects
- Brand
- Digital / Performance
- Track timelines, flag risks, and ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintain efficient workflows and approval processes.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with:
- Resale & Project teams
- Brand & Communications
- Digital & Performance Marketing
- Act as the main point of contact for:
- Content approvals
- Clarifications and revisions
- Delivery timelines
Required Experience
- 8-10+ years in content writing, editing, or editorial roles
- 3–5+ years managing an in-house content team
- Background in luxury, real estate, hospitality, or premium brands preferred
- Strong experience handling high-volume, multi-stakeholder content environments
