Senior Contract Manager - Dubai
Job Purpose
:To provide contractual and commercial support to the Delivery and Operations team during development, construction and operations stage for on-shore renewable projects across the MENA and Western Balkans regions
.
Responsibilitie
s:
Working in large scale renewable energy projects (mainly onshore wind, solar PV and Batteries) with EPC, TSA, LTSA, BoP, O&M, Owner's Engineers and other similar type of Contracts. Participate in tender and management of FIDIC-based Contracts ensuring consistency of agreements, structured contract governance, risk monitoring, and support to technical, development, legal, and E&S tea
ms.
Commercial negotiati
- ons:In coordination with the Legal Director and the Project Manager define and draft the head of terms to be provided to bidders during the tendering st
- age.In coordination with the Legal Director, external lawyers and Project Team prepare the draft contracts to be negotiated with Contract
- ors.Lead the negotiations with contractors and coordinate with the different areas of the Company the clarifications regarding the Contract te
- rms.In coordination with the Legal Director manage the interface with Lenders Legal and technical Advisors to accommodate their comments into the Contra
- cts.Successfully allow the Projects to sign negotiated agreements with all stakeholders involved and incorporating Lenders comme
nts.
Contract Administra
- tion:Manage the lifecycle of all construction and technical services contracts using FIDIC-based or equivalent framew
- orks.Track obligations, milestones, LD triggers, timebars, subcontractor requirements, notice periods, guarantees, and security pack
- ages.Ensure compliance with lender requirements and other Project agree
- mentsCoordinate closely with Legal on interpretations, amendments, disputes, and drafting of formal notices or respo
- nses.Follow up systematically across multiple sites and Projects to ensure no deadlines, notices, or risks are mi
- ssed.Maintain a unified contract dashboard for all projects under construction and Operat
- ions.Manage contractual close-out including performance testing, taking-over, warranty interface, and final account agree
- ment.Identify potential change events (design modifications, unforeseen site conditions, grid-connection delays, interconnection obligati
- ons).Ensure timely issuance of notices according to FIDIC or contractual t
- erms.Legal dispute avoidance and manage escalation paths with
- LegalPrepare settlements strategy and support executive decision making on claims/disp
- utes.Support claim preparation or evaluation with structured technical and commercial documenta
- tion.Assist in negotiations with contractors under Legal and Engineering leader
- ship.With support of the document controller maintain precise documentation, version control, correspondence logs, NCRs, variation trackers, and site instruct
- ions.Ensure documentation is consistent with lender audits, technical advisor requirements, and future O&M n
- eeds.Train project teams on key contractual obligations, notices, and risk trig
- gers.Negotiate and draft, with support from the Legal Team, project documentation and all other forms of project documentation, including but not limited to, framework consultancy agreements, owner's engineer agreements, contracts head of terms
- etc.Advise on and interpret legal and contractual rights and obligations across all projects, coordinating any support required with the internal or external legal functions of the co
