Senior Core Network Engineer

Penta Consulting are a technology service provider and leading outsourced partner helping to deliver professional and managed solutions across EMEA.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Solutions Architect to design, implement, and optimise nextgeneration Mobility, WiFi Core, IP Core, and Internet Core network solutions for major service providers. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of deep technical engineering, solution architecture, and customer-facing consultancy.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Architecture:

Develop Low-Level Designs (LLDs), network blueprints, migration strategies, and implementation plans across Mobility, WiFi Core, IP Core, and Internet Core environments.

Implementation & Delivery:

Lead endtoend deployment activities, coordinate provisioning of systems/subsystems, and ensure timely delivery aligned with project milestones.

Technology Leadership:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate the latest technologies, standards, and best practices into network designs.

Consultancy & Advisory:

Provide expert guidance and advisory services to major telecom service providers, supporting strategic decision-making and technology adoption.

Network Optimisation:

Deliver Network Optimization Support (NOS) to enhance performance, reliability, and ROI across customer network infrastructures.

Operational Excellence:

Conduct network analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver operational solutions that improve stability and efficiency.

Testing & Documentation:

Develop and manage Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP), technical documentation, and reporting.

Project & Maintenance Management:

Oversee maintenance activities, plan operational tasks, and report progress against project plans.

What We're Looking For

• Strong background in Core Network Engineering (Mobility, WiFi, IP/MPLS, Internet Core).
• Proven experience in network design, migration, and optimisation.
• Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Nokia, Ericsson, Juniper, or similar vendor ecosystems.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable solutions for customers.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering consultancy or advisory services to large service providers is a strong advantage.
