About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Lawyer to join an international law firm in Dubai, with a strong focus on corporate transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), joint ventures and strategic investments.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded lawyer who enjoys working on sophisticated, cross-border transactions and advising clients on their most important strategic matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and advise on domestic and cross-border M&A and corporate transactions from inception through completion.
- Advise clients on acquisitions, disposals, joint ventures, reorganisations, investments and other strategic transactions.
- Draft, review and negotiate transaction documentation, including share purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, joint venture agreements, investment agreements and ancillary documents.
- Manage transactions effectively, coordinating with clients, counterparties, advisers and other legal teams.
- Provide clear, commercially focused advice on corporate and transactional issues.
- Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and contribute to the development of the corporate practice.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Work collaboratively across offices and practice areas on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.
About You
You will be a qualified lawyer with strong corporate/M&A experience, gained within a leading international law firm.
You should have:
- Significant experience advising on M&A and complex corporate transactions.
- Strong drafting, negotiation and transaction-management skills.
- The ability to take ownership of matters and work confidently with senior clients.
- Excellent commercial judgment and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience managing and developing junior lawyers.
- A collaborative, client-focused approach.
- Experience in the UAE or wider Middle East market would be advantageous but is not essential.
