Senior Cost Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in cost accounting, analysis, and reporting, with the ability to work closely with operations and management to drive cost efficiency and financial control.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and analyze cost structures, budgets, and variance reports
• Perform cost allocation, job costing, and profitability analysis
• Track and control project / operational costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Prepare detailed cost reports for management and operational teams
• Support month-end closing related to cost accounting entries and reconciliations
• Work closely with operations, procurement, and site teams to ensure cost accuracy
• Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or similar roles
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Experience in construction, manufacturing, or project-based environments is an advantage.
• Strong experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is a strong advantage)
• Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, formulas, cost models, data analysis)
• Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus
