Position: Senior Cost Control Engineer

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Cost Control Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of cost control for our ongoing and upcoming projects. The Senior Cost Control Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial success of our projects by closely monitoring and managing project costs and providing accurate and timely cost reports to the management team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement cost control procedures and policies for all projects
  • Monitor project budgets and track expenses to ensure adherence to approved budgets
  • Review and analyze cost estimates, contracts, and change orders to identify potential cost savings or discrepancies
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure accurate cost forecasting and reporting
  • Conduct regular cost reviews and audits to identify areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare and present detailed cost reports to management, highlighting any potential risks or issues
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams on cost control best practices
  • Coordinate with procurement and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments
  • Participate in project planning and scheduling meetings to provide cost-related input and advice
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all project costs and expenses
  • Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in cost control to continuously improve processes and procedures

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the real estate or construction industry
  • Strong understanding of project budgeting, forecasting, and cost tracking
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and other cost control software/tools
  • Experience in project management and scheduling is a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and controlling project costs
  • Knowledge of local laws and regulations related to cost control in the real estate industry is preferred
