Job Purpose:
Responsible for managing cost tracking, progress monitoring, and performance reporting activities for assigned projects. The role focuses on execution, analysis, and reporting while supporting the Team Leader and Manager with accurate data, forecasts, and technical input.
Main job duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor approved project budgets and track actual costs against planned baselines.
- Follow up project progress and physical completion percentages with site teams.
- Prepare weekly and monthly cost control and progress performance reports.
- Analyze cost deviations and highlight potential budget risks and overruns.
- Track committed costs including subcontractors, purchase orders, and variations.
- Prepare cash flow tracking reports and update forecasted project cash positions.
- Support preparation of cost-to-complete and final project cost forecasts.
- Review subcontractor payment quantities and progress measurements.
- Track approved variations and pending change orders for cost impact.
- Monitor material usage, productivity rates, and site resource efficiency.
- Maintain accurate project financial records and reporting databases.
- Participate in internal project review and performance meetings.
- Support monthly project financial closing and reporting cycles.
- Assist in preparing management dashboards and performance summaries.
- Ensure cost control data accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
- Perform any additional tasks that might be necessary for easier workflow, within the main frame of the job's specialty.
Educational background and previous experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Architecture, or related field).
- Min. 5 years of experience in cost control, project controls, planning, or site engineering.
