Senior Credit Risk Analyst (AVP or VP)

Our client, a well- established bank with a strong presence in Asia is looking to expand their business within the Asia Pacific region. The firm is looking for a Senior Credit Risk Analyst to join them.

Job Description:

• Oversee the credit approval and review processes for loans that are issued to corporates, ensuring they meet the bank's risk management standards and compliance requirements.
• Monitor the performance and quality of the credit portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the branch manager or HQ, which may include special projects or initiatives to support the branch's overall objectives.
• Mentor/provide on the job training to junior credit approvers/analysts.

Qualification:

• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in credit risk evaluation, portfolio monitoring, corporate/institutional/commercial lending, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of financial modelling, analytical skills, credit principles and banking practices, regulatory requirements, rating mechanisms, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical skills, including evaluating financial statements and credit reports.
• Able to provide thoughtful and balanced risk perspectives to business lines.
• Good communication and organization skills.
• Proficiency in MS office application.
• Proficiency in spoken and written Chinese to enable effective communication with head office colleagues based in North Asia.
