Senior Data Analyst - (Visualizer)

About the Role

We are transforming how data drives decision-making and strategic growth across our business. As our Senior Data Analyst / Visualizer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our analytics ecosystem. You will own the analytics layer, semantic models, and reporting architecture—bridging technical execution with business strategy.

Beyond building high-impact Power BI dashboards and embedded analytics, you will be a driver of data literacy across the organization, empowering executive leaders and cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Semantic Modeling & Governance: Own the conformed semantic model with certified business data definitions. Establish shared metrics, standardized naming conventions, dataset certifications, and row-level security (RLS) across the reporting estate.
• Advanced Data Visualization & Analytics: Design and deliver high-quality Power BI dashboards and analytics tools. Develop embedded reporting views directly inside web application front-ends (e.g., using React).
• Unified Business Insights: Contribute to our Unified Project View by integrating data across estimation, commercial, planning, design, and operations domains.
• Data Quality & Management: Establish data quality scorecards (evaluating completeness, accuracy, timeliness, consistency, and uniqueness). Work with business data stewards to route and resolve data issues.
• Enablement & Literacy: Design and deliver a tiered data literacy program for executives, managers, and power users. Conduct go-live training, hold regular clinics, and coach a federated network of data stewards across key departments.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Run requirements workshops with department heads to translate complex business questions into actionable data products. Partner closely with Data Engineers and software developers.
• Adoption Tracking: Measure and track solution adoption as a key performance indicator (KPI) and continuously optimize based on user feedback.

What We Are Looking For

Education & Experience

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field (Master's degree is a plus).
• Experience: 10+ years of proven experience in data analysis, semantic modeling, and visualization.
• Domain Knowledge: Experience in construction, contracting, interior fit-out, or project-based industries (familiarity with Cost Value Reports, cost code structures, and tender-to-award cycles is highly desirable).

Technical Skills & Expertise

• Microsoft Ecosystem: Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric (data storage/analysis) and Power BI.
• Power BI Mastery: Advanced experience in semantic modeling, row-level security (RLS), Direct Lake mode, and deployment pipelines.
• Languages & Tools: Proficiency in SQL, DAX, Power Query, and Excel.
• Embedded Analytics: Hands-on experience embedding analytics and charting/data grid components into web application front-ends alongside developers.
• Version Control & AI Integration: Regular use of Git for version control, and a demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate DAX/SQL generation, dashboard development, and documentation.
• Systems (Desirable): Familiarity with Salesforce, Premier, or Oracle Primavera Cloud. Predictive analytics / Machine Learning understanding is a strong plus.

Soft Skills

• Strong facilitator capable of running workshops and translating non-technical user needs into specs.
• Passionate educator with a track record of driving data adoption and digital change management.

• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (Exam DP-600)
• Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (Exam PL-300)
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate (Exam DP-700) (Advantageous)
