We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Architecture Specialist to design, develop, and maintain enterprise data architecture that supports business objectives and digital transformation initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining data architecture standards, ensuring data quality and governance, and building scalable data solutions that enable advanced analytics and business intelligence across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise data architecture, data models, and data integration frameworks.
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models aligned with business and technical requirements.
- Define data architecture standards, best practices, and governance policies.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Design and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, security, and compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Lead data migration and modernization initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and methodologies to improve data architecture capabilities.
- Support business intelligence, analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives by providing reliable and well-structured data platforms.
- Perform data architecture reviews and provide technical guidance to project teams.
- Monitor database performance and recommend optimization strategies.
- Work closely with data governance teams to establish data quality standards and metadata management processes.
- Prepare technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and implementation guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is preferred.
- Professional certifications in Data Architecture, Cloud Platforms, or Enterprise Architecture are considered an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data management.
- Proven experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and architectures.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Previous experience in government, telecom, banking, or large enterprise environments is highly preferred.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture principles and methodologies.
- Expertise in SQL and relational database management systems.
- Experience with data warehouse solutions (Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Amazon Redshift, Oracle, or similar).
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration platforms.
- Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
- Experience with cloud data services and modern data platforms.
- Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and master data management (MDM).
- Understanding of data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with BI and analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Knowledge of API integration and data services.
