Senior Data Engineer | 4-8 YOE | Snowflake,DBT,Python,SQL| Immediate Joiners

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer(4-8) to join their growing India-based Data Engineering pod, working closely with the UK Data team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in building scalable data platforms, improving engineering reliability, implementing CI/CD best practices, and enabling advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives. This role requires strong technical expertise, ownership mindset, and the ability to mentor junior engineers within a collaborative international environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL data pipelines
• Work extensively with Snowflake, dbt, SQL, and Python
• Implement CI/CD best practices for modern data engineering workflows
• Improve monitoring, alerting, reliability, and data quality processes
• Collaborate closely with Data Scientists, BI teams, and stakeholders
• Support data modelling and data architecture initiatives
• Mentor and guide junior engineers within the India pod
• Contribute towards MLOps foundations and production deployment workflows
• Work in close coordination with UK-based engineering teams

Required Skills

• 4+ years of experience in Data Engineering
• Strong expertise in SQL and Python
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake
• Strong working experience with dbt
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines
• Good understanding of data modelling concepts (3NF, Kimball, etc.)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working with cloud-based modern data platforms
• Ability to work independently with strong ownership mindset

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Exposure to MLOps concepts and workflows
• Experience with orchestration tools
• Experience supporting BI/Analytics teams
• Experience working in Agile/product-based environments
• Previous mentoring or technical leadership experience
