About Your Team

Our team plays a critical role in transforming data into actionable insight. We partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable data solutions, empower self-service reporting, and uphold strong data governance, driving smarter decisions and measurable business outcomes.

Your Role

As a Data Engineer - Snr, you will

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes that ingest and transform structured and unstructured data from sources such as ERP, operational systems, files, and APIs into data warehouses and data marts
• Build and maintain data warehouses, data lakes, and storage structured across the medallion layers (raw, cleansed, and curated)
• Execute enterprise data modelling, cataloguing, and governance, applying standards for data quality, lineage, security, and ownership using tools such as Microsoft Purview
• Develop dimensional data models, including fact and dimension tables and data marts
• Build and maintain BI reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar, prototyping with users to refine requirements
• Implement data quality checks and monitoring to ensure data integrity and tune pipelines for performance and reliability
• Translate business requirements into practical data solutions and advise on the technical approach.
• Support and enable business teams to independently access and draw insight from trusted, governed data
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other team members

What We're Looking For

Skills and Competencies

• Hands-on experience with Python and PySpark for data engineering
• Extensive use of SQL and relational database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL, along with experience of NoSQL stores such as MongoDB or Cosmos DB
• Proven experience designing and building ETL and ELT pipelines and integrating data from multiple sources and APIs using both batch and API based methods
• Experience with large scale, distributed data processing frameworks
• Experience with workflow orchestration and transformation tools such as Airflow or similar
• Expertise in data modelling, including dimensional modelling, fact and dimension tables, data marts, and medallion architecture
• Experience with at least one major cloud data platform, such as AWS or Azure
• Experience building data warehouses and BI solutions, and developing reports using Power BI, or similar tools
• Working knowledge of data quality, cataloguing, and data governance practices, with tools such as Microsoft Purview
• Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, across business, technical, and project teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust quickly to changing needs
• Exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks or Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with ERP, project, or construction industry data

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in appropriate discipline or equivalent demonstrated experience and/or
• 2 to 5 years experience
• Certifications in data warehousing, ETL, analytics, or a major cloud platform are an advantage
