Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to lead the delivery of scalable, observable, and high-quality data products across a hybrid data platform. This role sets engineering standards, mentors team members, and works closely with Architecture, AI, Platform, and BI teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead batch and streaming data pipelines with reliability and cost efficiency

• Standardise dbt, testing, CI/CD, and code review practices

• Build governed data products with lineage, metadata, RBAC, and privacy controls

• Deliver feature pipelines for AI and gold datasets for BI

• Define SLAs and SLOs and lead incident response and continuous improvement

• Work closely with Data Architecture, AI, MLOps, Platform, and BI teams

Required Experience

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering at scale

• Strong SQL, data modelling, and advanced Python

• Deep experience with Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake, and performance tuning

• Strong dbt experience, including testing and documentation

• Streaming experience with Kafka or Event Hubs and CDC tools

• Azure data services, IAM, and infrastructure as code

• Experience with BI enablement and AI feature pipelines

• Healthcare data experience is a strong advantage
